Stopped by today to grab a sandwich and the staff were very inviting and nice. The sandwich itself was great. I use to come here all the time and now just like before it makes me want to come again and again. I recommend Viking as a great place to get a sandwich.
The Viking Sandwich?! Large means can feed three (IMO). Amazing, friendly people, opens early, picked up a sandwich for enjoying on Mt. Tam. Great little spot, I hope continues to serve tasty sandwiches. I'll be back when I'm in the area!
Friendly staff, clean, and delicious fresh sandwich. I got the smoked turkey #11, the large is large. Next time I will try the small sandwich, Mighty Viking and Club C look delicious.
Small hole in the wall with super friendly staff. The sandwiches are on another level. In my opinion they make the greatest Philly cheese steak on the west coast. And for breakfast, the ham egg and cheese is amazing. And they get their sourdough locally from Michael's Sourdough. If you like spicy, their homemade hot sauce is an absolute must! Fairly priced and hugely portioned. 10/10

Had the small mighty viking sandwich with ham, salami, and pastrami. Came in mid morning on a Saturday and service was friendly and efficient. Small is just the right size for one person and good selection of chips and soda
Always a great sandwich. Ordered a sandwich to go, the "cheese" (#11, if I remember correctly! ) and it was ready toot sweet. Hint - always try it heated, makes a great difference. I added a side of macaroni salad, for a little treat as well. This sandwich is big, so half today and half for lunch tomorrow. Great value for the size and quality . . . my new to-go lunch place for a sammy!
A small local sandwich shop right off the highway with fresh ingredients and soft bread. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and my partner had the turkey sub both hit the spot. If you get the large you will definitely have leftovers. This place will be on our roadtrip stops from now on.
This location is open Mondays thru Fridays, closes early on Saturdays unlike SF location. Both locations are closed on Sundays. The nicest owners operate this sandwich shop. There are tables and chairs for dine-in. They also offer teriyaki rice plates if you're not craving sandwiches. The sandwiches are humongous and decently priced. When Michael's Sourdough is closed on vacation, this is a good option B. There are never any lines out the door and plenty of street parking on this side of industrial San Rafael.
